MBF welcomes new Managing Director

From the 1st of September 2021 Syb ten Cate Hoedemaker takes over as Managing Director of the Maritime Battery Forum. After 7 years of collaboration between DNV and the MBF it is time for the MBF to take the next step to grow as an organization by having a 100% position as Managing Director.

First we would like to thank Andrea for her tremendous efforts and dedication for the MBF. She has been involved with the forum since March 2018 and has been the MD from May 2019 - a role she has held as part of her position at DNV. The board would like to highlight her excellent performance with arranging conferences, webinars and other activities for our members. We wish Andrea the very best in the continuation of her successful career at DNV - whereby her skills will be utilized even more.

Short presentation of the new MD.

Syb ten Cate Hoedemaker has a Master’s degree in Marine Engineering and comes over from Damen Shipyards where he was working as the “battery expert”. Some may have met him at forum activities as one of the contact persons from Damen or at the WATTS UP 2020 conference in Sandefjord, where he was one of the speakers. His broad network in Europe will be an asset for further development and internationalization of the forum.

We welcome Syb and are looking forward to cooperating with him to the best for all you as members on our way towards zero emissions. You will be able to reach Syb through director@maritimebatteryforum.com.
