MBF will be attending the ASEAN Battery Technology Conference in Malaysia as a visitor. Reach out to Denise Ho at denise@maritimebatteryforum.com if you are interested in receiving more information about this event.
The ASEAN Battery Technology Conference (ABTC) is the region’s premier platform for advancing battery innovation, safety, and collaboration. First launched in 2023 in Bali, Indonesia, with early support from regional partners including Hioki E.E. Corporation, the conference was rebranded from ABEVTC to ABTC to reflect its stronger focus on battery technologies and their critical role in ASEAN’s energy future.
Now entering its fourth year, ABTC has grown beyond a conference into a regional effort that brings together industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers. A key milestone was the signing of an MOU among ASEAN battery associations in 2023, laying the foundation for long-term regional cooperation.
Building on the momentum from ABTC 2025 in Phuket, Thailand, ABTC 2026 in Sepang, Malaysia will further strengthen regional collaboration and accelerate the industrialisation of battery technologies across ASEAN. The conference will continue to spotlight high-impact priorities including battery safety, advanced materials, manufacturing scale up, recycling and circularity, and standards development, supporting a resilient and competitive ASEAN battery value chain.
